About this activity
Be ready for a fun filled day. We will depart at 10am from the Margaret River Bed and Breakfast car park or soon after when I pick you up from your accommodation. Come early if you have booked breakfast with us.

Each trip is different as it depends on the group and whether they want more tastings or more scenery. Margaret River Nature Tours is one of the few tour operators specifically licensed to take you into the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and is ideal if you like the out-doors and taking lots of beautiful photographs. Your expert guide will tailor the day to try to exceed everyone’s expectations. Traveling in a luxury air conditions small tour bus, after some coffee, chocolate and olive tastings designed to put everyone in a good mood (who isn’t happy after some chocolate?), we will visit scenically spectacular Hamelin Bay, learn about the unique landscapes that make up the region and perhaps hand feed some stingrays. Then we will drive through the majestic Boranup Karri Forest and maybe visit a cave, with lots of opportunities for photos.

Lunch is included and will be at a beautiful small boutique winery where you can enjoy some wine tastings and enjoy a glass of wine with your gourmet lunch, specially created to pair with your wine.

In the afternoon, your tour will take you north along Caves Road stopping to examine spectacular coastal scenery and unique features at places such as Ellensbrook, Gracetown and the awesome Willyabrup Cliffs. Time and interest permitting, other beautiful locations could include Moses Rock and Canal Rocks.

There are many famous wineries (large and boutique) where your guide can stop and you can enjoy free tastings. You will learn about the origin of the different soils and climates that result in the unique terroir that produces some of Australia’s finest wines. There are boutique breweries and distilleries producing world class gin, whiskies, bourbons, brandies and many other liqueurs that you can visit for tastings. Let your guide know what wines and spirits you like and tell him what else is on your bucket list. Tastings at the breweries and distilleries have a small charge but they are worth it.

For more free tastings, there is also the Margaret River Cheese Factory or Millers Ice Cream that we can visit as well, depending on the inclination of the group.

Complimentary pickups are available from the Margaret River town or wherever you are staying if less than 10 minutes travel from the town. If further away, please contact us for the cost. You may also like to order a pre-tour gourmet breakfast for $20pp at the Margaret River Bed & Breakfast to start the day with a great meal.
