City Sightseeing & Botanical Garden Visit

Meet your guide at the BOOKING POINT office for the 2:30 pm tour departure.

The tour includes a first stop at the Folkeparken where you will get a stunning view over the west coast and its landscapes, you will also have a short walk in between the traditional houses constituting the folk heritage of Tromsø island.

The road Kvaløyveien divides the museum area into two “courtyards”. By the sea stands the beautiful Kvitnesgården along with a large boathouse, Stornaustet, and buildings that were originally located in Tromsø center. On the opposite side of the road stands Mortengården, constituting the centre in a cluster of six log houses from the early 19th century.

The tour will then proceed with a panoramic sight seeing across the city and stop at the Arctic- Alpine Botanical Garden for a visit to the flower and plant collection.

The guide will explain to you the history of the garden and help you navigating through the different areas discovering the peculiar virtues, features and abilities of the many species here hosted. 
The photographer will identify a suitable subject and hold a workshop on macro photography, where you will learn how to capture the beauty of the mesmerizing micro details each plant holds secret, you will be introduced to specific techniques and you'll get to learn all the tricks to take the picture of a lifetime!

Now it is time to explore the garden and capture stunning shots of the garden flora & micro fauna.

The staff will be at your disposal at any time to answer questions and provide assistance.

You can also request a professional "Flowery Portrait" in the most beautiful corner of the garden ready for use.
All the pictures taken by our photographers during the tour are available upon purchase and suitable for fine printing.

Please Note:

The tour language is ENGLISH.
The tour runs ONLY UPON a minimum reservation amount of 2 people.
The tour is not cancelled in case of rain, you need to have suitable clothes.
Coffee and snacks can be purchased at the café before 3.30pm, we guarantee the presence of an available toilet at all time.
All pictures taken by our photographers are not included in the tour but can be purchased online for an additional cost.
