Photo tour of the Arctic- Alpine Botanic Garden
Make your own way to the Arctic-Alpine Botanic Garden of Tromsø for the 2pm tour departure.
In case you arrive at the cruise terminal in Breivika our guide will meet you at 1.45pm at the info point and walk with you to the garden (10 minutes distance from Pier 24).
The staff will meet and welcome you by the Red House - the garden café - where you will be briefed on how the garden is designed and how to properly behave, moving respectfully around plants and flowers during your visit.
In case of rain you will be provided a rain jacket and/or an umbrella.
The guide will explain to you the history of the garden and help you navigating through the different areas discovering the peculiar virtues, features and abilities of the many species here hosted.
The photographer will identify a suitable subject and hold a workshop on macro photography, where you will learn how to capture the beauty of the mesmerizing micro details each plant holds secret, you will be introduced to specific techniques and you'll get to learn all the tricks to take the picture of a lifetime!
Now it is time to explore the garden and capture stunning shots of the garden flora & micro fauna.
The staff will be at your disposal at any time to answer questions and provide assistance.
You can also request a professional "Flowery Portrait" in the most beautiful corner of the garden ready for use.
All the pictures taken by our photographers during the tour are available upon purchase and suitable for fine printing.
The tour ends at 4pm but you are free to stay longer as the garden remains open.
The garden's café closes at 3.30pm.

The tour language is ENGLISH.
The tour runs ONLY UPON a minimum reservation amount of 4 people.
The tour does not have a pre-determined itinerary but adapts according to the inflorescence and blossoming cycles of the plants.
The tour is not cancelled in case of rain, we will provide rain jackets or umbrella to the guests.
Coffee and snacks can be purchased at the café before 3.30pm, we guarantee the presence of an available toilet at all time.
All pictures taken by our photographers are not included in the tour but can be purchased online for an additional cost.
