About this activity
Your 7-hour evening excursion begins in the center of Tromsø where you meet your guide at the designated time. Make sure to be dressed warmly then get kitted out in your provided snowshoeing gear including winter boots, suits, hiking poles, and snowshoes.

In your small group, follow the guide who adjusts the walk to the pace of the slowest and makes you feel safe and warm all along the way. The guide brings you to a location which offers an untouched snowy landscape. - Winter equipment is included, please provide your clothing and shoe sizes
- Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking as well as medical condition if needed
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately; Make sure you wear a warm base layer, winter clothes including warm shoes, a hat, mittens, a scarf, and woolen socks.
- In case of no snow, the activity will be a hike in the Arctic night.
- In case of no stars, the activity will be under and cloudy sky. Some precipitation may occur.

- Please be prepared for limited toilet facilities, there will be a gas station stop during the drive, however the camp itself is in the wild Arctic nature where the only toilet possibilities are in the forest (there are no pre-built facilities)
- Minimum age is 12 years
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund

The best thing about this experience is that the tour company's guides are all very enthusiastic about making sure you have a good time. With the snowshoeing, they made sure that the group went at a steady pace and there was opportunities for pictures. We walked for a few hours before having a hot dinner that was prepared by our guide. After that, we were able to take in the beauty of the surrounding mountains and the guide pointed out gaps in the clouds where we unexpectedly saw the northern lights. I highly recommend using Wandering Owl for this excursion or any other tours you book due to the professionalism and charisma of their guides.
