My husband and I booked this tour a few weeks before arriving in Turin. Unfortunately due to a mix-up with Viator who I am unable to contact as they are hard to get hold of, the tour guides did not receive our booking and they did not know we are coming. After a quick phone call our guide Matteo arrived and apologised for the mix up, though it was not the tour company's fault. The tour lasted about two hours and contained a great mix of city history that tied to different historic cafes. We received a lot of information on the local delicacies, how these were created and how they formed the history of the city. For Turin this is a great tour as the area is known for some world-famous treats such as nutella! Our guide also provided a lot of information about the city attractions, the Egypt museum and their history. He answered any questions we had regardless of if these related to the tour! Matteo also provided some bicerin, a local sweet drink which can only be found in the area of Turin, before saying goodbye. We highly recommend this tour as it is a good mix of city history and the cafes. The guide is very knowledgeable and it is easy to tell that he is truly passionate about the city. Especially recommend this tour to first time visitors of the city as well as those interested in the local delicacies and cafes. I also recommend you to tip your guides as this is a gesture of enjoying the tour!
