Wine Tasting and Unesco World Heritage Cellars Visit from Turin

1 day
About this activity
Full day tour with private car and driver from Turin Porta Susa Railways Station. Visit the most famous villages of the Monferrato and Langhe area. You can see an Infernot, which is a small underground room, dug into the "Pietra da Cantoni" rock, with no lighting or ventilation. They can usually be accessed through a cellar and are used to store bottled wine. The constant temperature and humidity create an excellent environment for preserving the most precious bottles. It represents the material and immaterial heritage of Monferrato, for this is insert in (UNESCO) World Heritage List. Gourmet lunch is included in a local Osteria.

Enzo was a perfect host. Very knowledgeable and charming. We learned a lot about the Monferrato region, as well as visiting alba, asti, barolo, barberesco. Marco Bellero was an excellent host at La Ca Nova, and produces excellent quality wine. Lunch provided was excellent and substantial. Very tasty local specialities available, particularly the carne crudo, agnelotti piedmontese and tobacco flavored ice cream. Thank you enzo !!!
