Bali Cooking Class with Private Transfer
Begin this Ubud cooking class with a visit to Casa Luna Restaurant (held only Tuesday and Thursday). Meet at the restaurant around 08:00 where the chef and staff will be waiting. Take a short walk to the vegetable market to browse the stalls alongside a guide. Learn all about the fresh spices, herbs and vegetables on sale. After a tour of the market, walk to the restaurant to commence the cooking experience. (On Monday, Wednesday and Friday courses, meet at 08:30 at Second Honeymoon Guesthouse.)
With the ingredients in hand, don the provided attire, meet in the kitchen and begin the most exciting portion of the course. Not only will there be an introduction to the herbs, spices and techniques of Balinese cooking, but there will also be a chance to learn about the ceremonial and cultural significance of food in Balinese society. The menu changes daily and after preparing the lavish feast, sit down to enjoy the meal together with a glass or two of local rice wine or homemade hibiscus tea.
After partaking in this memorable half day Ubud cooking class, head back to the hotel with a belly full of delicious food and some truly practical knowledge to go home with! .
Note: This is a joined activity as the class is limited to a minimum of 8 participants and a maximum 18 participants. This class only available 5 times a week (Monday to Friday) and market visit will only be done on Tuesday and Thursday.
