About this activity
Get picked up in the morning from your Bali hotel. Pickups from accommodations in Ubud, Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, and Nusa Dua are included. Start the day by traveling aboard your air-conditioned vehicle to one of Bali’s iconic rice terraces near Tegallalang, offering the perfect visual sight for photographers. Leaving the rice terraces, head to a nearby coffee plantation where you’ll get an introduction to the island’s local blends.
Sample some Bali beans including the island’s famous “Kopi Luwak” made from coffee fruit that has been eaten and passed by the civet cat. After collecting and cleaning the beans, they’re then processed into a gourmet brew that is highly prized among coffee aficionados. Depart the coffee plantation and head to an eatery along the shores of Lake Batur. Enjoy the views of the water and Mount Batur while you eat, then have time for an optional trek among the area’s collections of volcanic rock.
The combination views of Mount Batur and Mount Abang add to the scenery. If shady hikes are your preference, a nearby hike through a bamboo forest is also available. Finish your excursion by heading to Penglipuran, a traditional-style Balinese village where you can experience a slice of the island’s old ways of life. After your village visit, receive a ride back to your hotel.
