Stop At: Puseh Batuan Temple, Batuan Village near Singapadu, Sukawati 80582 Indonesia

Visit local Balinese Hindu temple looked after by the local resident of Batuan countryside. The temple is designed very beautiful with full of Balinese ornaments and the roof temple building is made from the fiber of chromatic black palm tree.

It is strategically located beside of the main road from Denpasar to Ubud. For over a thousand years, Batuan has been a village of artists and craftsmen, old legends and mysterious tales.

Stop At: Kuning Waterfall, Dusun Kuning, Desa Taman Bali Indonesia

Walking into nature through the stairs down can be quite slippery so please take care and don’t rush. It was slightly raining on the day that we visited these falls so we took our time to make our way down to the bottom. The hike all the way down to Dusun Kuning takes only 15 minutes and it is suitable for all levels of hikers. The dense jungle felt like it came to life after the rainfall and it enhanced all the colours of the flora that surrounded us.

Kehen Temple is an ancient Hindu temple complex boasting unique architectural features. The temple courtyard is reachable from ground level up a flight of 38 stairs, with carved sandstone mythical animal and Balinese folklore figure statues around the staircases and the central vestibule. The temple’s walls are also ornate with Chinese porcelain plates, which are a tribute to the historical relations between the local Bali kingdom and China.
