We asked our guide, Dewa Mayun, to try and find some sites of special interest to us. With a particular interest in water management we not only wanted to see the rice terraces and water temples but also a weir for diverting water from a river to the rice fields via a tunnel. With Dewa's persistence he was able to locate a weir with tunnel diversion as well as the outlet of the tunnel. His knowledge of temple ceremonies was also helpful in interpreting the purification and blessing rituals that we saw. Dewa made it a special day for us.
