Full Day Luwak Trails Expedition in Munduk

An adventure with a twist! Finn Komodo vehicles are revised 4-wheeled off-road jeeps that not only look cool but are safe and easy to use. The natural splendour around Munduk with its off-road character makes it the ideal region to venture deep into the rain forests, lakes and local plantations before heading out on foot to go further into the wilderness. Munduk is more than an important historical place that shaped Bali’s rich culture.

Pick-up times will commence from 06:45 hrs as you will join other adventurers in the direction of Munduk. Depending on the location of your hotel, we expect to arrive at the base camp before 10:00 hrs. The wilderness base camp is run by one of the most professional companies that have a fleet of Finn Komodo’s at the ready: these off-road, slightly unconventional buggies are quite easy to operate and are the ideal means of transportation to get through the jungle. An instruction and safety briefing is given before heading into your own Finn Komodo (max 2 persons per vehicle) and getting the hang of driving these buggies. We start with driving down to the Tamblingan Lake where lakeside temple enriches the mystery of the region. Log canoes will be waiting for you once we parked our Finn Komodo and paddle gently over the lake for a moment of peace and relaxation.

A more adventurous region awaits: we head through rougher territory through mandarin plantations and coffee orchards direct further into the rain forest. Taking a short break gives you some time to switch over from driving to a nice hike through forests that are home to 100-year old trees. Our hike ends at a local coffee plantation where a fresh brew will be served, right over an open fire to savour the flavour and aroma even more. We drive back to the Munduk Base camp where lunch will be served before we drive you back to your hotel. Freshen up facilities are available after the tour. Arrival times will be between 17:00 hrs (Munduk region) and 19:00 hrs (Southern Bali hotels)
