Half Day Uluwatu Sunset with Kecak Dance

Uluwatu does not only offers stunning, luxurious high-end properties and seclusion, as well as a pristine coastal experience with amazing views; it is home to one of the most religious temples on the island. The 11th century Pura Luhur Uluwatu is perched 250 feet/ 80 meters above sea level, giving the visitor a perfect vantage point to the beach below. Dropping straight into the pounding surf of the Indian Ocean with often meters-high waves, the temple complex is home for amazing sunsets that can easily compete with the world’s finest. As the sun sets while you enjoy front row seats from near the temple, we shortly move toward an open-air theatre next to the temple to watch a Kecak dance performance which is regularly held here at this unique setting. The Kecak dance features up to a hundred men swaying and chanting to the hypnotic music. This famous Balinese dance depicts and ancient story from the Ramayana when King Rahwana captures Sita, Rama’s wife. The dance shows the battle between Rahwana and Hanoman, leader of the apes. The end of this afternoon is going to the mystical icing on the cake before we transfer you back to your hotel.
