Liberty Shipwreck Dives
Discover one of the most famous shipwrecks in the world, only an hour away from Candidasa!
We will pick you up at your hotel anywhere in Candidasa area in the morning hours, between 8 and 8:30. After a short ride to the gathering point, first thing will be to arrange all the paperwork and choose the right dive equipment for you, to make your day safe and comfortable.
Please note that this tour is for certified divers only.
Once we are all set our cozy car will take us further north on the east coast of Bali towards Tulamben area. Ride is very scenic and mainly through rise fields shadowed by the volcano Agung.
Once in Tulamben we would settle in the restaurant which is closest to the actual dive sites and rest a bit while porters unload our dive equipment.
To reach the shipwreck we would walk into the ocean and descend close to the shore. Black volcanic sand creates a perfect background for a sunken ship! Liberty shipwreck was lying on shores from 1945 until with Agung`s last eruption was finaly pushed further in the ocean, in 1963. Since then it is acting as a perfect hideout to big groupers and bump-head parrot fish, as well as turtles, barracudas and occasional black tip shark.
During the dive you will be continuously monitored by our PADI professional guides and shown all the beauty of this specific dive sites.
We will show you some of the highlights of the underwater world in Bali with the highest safety standards.
Surface interval will be at the restaurant with served tasty Indonesian lunch, coffee, tea, water. After an hour brake we will walk again into the ocean for another beautiful dive at the Liberty. Shipwreck is over 150m longs and has a lot to offer.
After the second dive, when everything is safely packed back in the car by our amazing porters, we will head back to your accommodation.
Daily diving trips are all inclusive - dives with a qualified and professional dive guide, rental diving equipment, porters and park fees, transfer from/to accommodation if in Candidasa – Bali, area and lunch, water, coffee, tea & towel. All that you need to bring along are swimming trunks, sun lotion and a smile!
