6-Day Grand Heritage Tour of Western Rajasthan from Udaipur to Jodhpur

Day 1 : Udaipur

You will be picked up from your hotel in Udaipur at 7:30 AM and transferred to a heritage hotel for check-in and breakfast. After breakfast your guide will take you to the shores of Lake Pichola for a boat ride on this serene lake. Thereafter visit the City Palace and Museum located in the heart of the city. See an amazing collection of armory, rare paintings, glassware and carpets. Stroll in the bazaars of Udaipur. At around 1:00 PM take lunch at Amrai Resturant located on the shores of a lake at your own expense. From here proceed to Fort Sajjangarh located 7 km from Udaipur. This hill top fort was the monsoon resort of the kings of Mewar State. Get a magnificent view of Udaipur city and the many lakes that form part of it. Return to your hotel for an evening of folk music and dances. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : Udaipur - Kumbhalgarh

Around 8:00 AM after breakfast leave for Kumbhalgarh. En-route visit Temple Eklingji with exquisite stone carvings. Check in at

Royal Kumbhalgarh Villas and, in the early afternoon, visit Fort Kumbhalgarh - a marvel of military architecture and now on UNESCO World Heritage Sites List. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 : Kumbhalgarh - Ranakpur - Ghanerao

After breakfast drive to Ranakpur where the famous Jain Temple Complex is located. This all-white temple complex has exquisite carvings on its exterior and inner walls and ceilings. At around 2:00 PM check in at Ghanerao Royal Castle and visit the bazaars of Ghanerao. In the evening, the owners of the Ghanerao Royal Castle will organize a puppet show. Dinner and overnight at the Castle.

Day 4 : Ghanerao - Nimaj

Leave after breakfast on a 3-hour drive to Nimaj and check in at the 450-year-old Nimaj Palace owned and operated by the former royal family of Nimaj. In the evening, take an exciting Jeep safari through the villages around Nimaj. Dinner and overnight at the Palace.

Day 5 : Nimaj - Jodhpur

After breakfast drive to Jodhpur and check in at a lovely haveli. Haveli means a private mansions in India, usually with historical and architectural significance. Visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace and Meharangarh Fort. Return to your haveli for some rest. In the evening stroll in the colorful bazaars and then return to your haveli for an evening of folk dances and dinner. Stay overnight in Jodhpur.

Day 6: Jodhpur

Take a jeep ride through quaint villages around Jodhpur. See artisans weaving carpets, cotton durries and pottery. In the evening, visit Jaswant Thada and the Mandore Gardens. Dinner in the home of a royal family. Your tour will end after dinner in Jodhpur. Free drop-off at your hotel in Jodhpur.
