About this activity
The day long tour of Udaipur city will begin with your pick up at 9:00 am. Board the air-conditioned car waiting at your hotel and leave for first tourist attraction ‘City Palace’. It is a 400 years old palace complex reflecting exquisite blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Entrenched on the banks of Lake Pichola you will enjoy spectacular view of Udaipur city and its surroundings.
Next visit the major monument Jagdish Temple located at a short walk from City Palace. It is an ornate temple with beautiful carvings dedicated to Lord Jagannath (a form of Lord Vishnu or Lord Krishna). Along with deity of Lord Jagannath you will also find smaller shrines of Shiva, Ganesha, Sun and Goddess Shakti.
Make final visit to Saheliyon ki Bari, a colorful flower laden garden decorated with fountains, lotus pool, marble elephant’s sculptures and human figures. It was built by Raja Sangram Singh as dowry for her princess along with her group of 48 young women attendants. The green plants, colorful flowers and decorative items is a sight for sore eyes.
