The Udaipur City Palace is not a singular historical edifice, but it’s a complex of several palaces in the Udaipur City, which lies in the desert state of Rajasthan. According to historical records, this palace complex was built over a period of 400 years, with several kings of the Maharana Udai Singh's dynasty, who all contributed to the growth of these buildings. Next proceed for Jagdish Temple which is a large Hindu temple in the middle of Udaipur. Jagdish Temple is one of the tourist attraction and a major monument in Udaipur, built by Maharana Jagat Singh Ist in 1651. It is raised on a tall terrace. The temple was originally called the temple of Jagannath Rai but is now called Jagdish ji.

Jagdish Temple is one of the famous temples of Udaipur. Located in the City Palace complex of Udaipur, this temple is made in the Indo-Aryan style of architecture. In 1651, Jagdish temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singh, who ruled Udaipur during 1628-53. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi Narayan), the preserver of the Universe. It is celebrated for being the largest temple in the city of Udaipur. The gateway of this temple can be sited at a distance of 150 meters from the Bara Pol of the City Palace.

After lunch at local restaurant by your own cost proceed to Lake Fatehsagar Udaipur. Fateh Sagar Lake is the second artificial lake of Udaipur, the first being Jaisamand lake. Located in the north of Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake lies just besides the entrance to Moti Magri Hill. Built in 1678 by Maharana Jai Singh. Then start for Garden of the Maidens (Sahelion Ki Bari). Sahelion ki Bari or the Garden of Maidens is one such interesting site. The beautiful garden, built primarily for the queen's maidens, is a standing landmark of a bygone era.

Having been to Jaipur we were looking forward to this day but it was awful. Guide did not have the itinerary, so we ended up in shops. We did not cover what was included and had no other day free to make up the gap. Thankfully we had very good guides on our other trips outside Udaipur.
