You will be picked up at your hotel in Udaipur by 9:00am and meet your local guide before starting an adventure around the royal city of Udaipur.
Visit the famous City Palace, a vast hilltop complex and a perfect fusion of Rajput, Mughal, European, and Chinese architecture styles. Your expert guide will show you the beautiful monument as you walk through the attractive gateways and sprawling gardens and learn more about the details and complexities of the palace. City Palace was built in the 15th century, showcasing the Rajput heritage of Udaipur, its ancient paintings, royal attire, souvenirs from historic battles, and much more. Learn about the great kings and queens that ruled the city, as well as the lifestyle of Rajasthan.
Proceed with your guide to the nearby Jagdish Temple, and witness the beauty of Indo-Aryan architectural style. Built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh, this beautiful temple is dedicated to the Hindu God Vishnu, believed to be the preserver of the universe. In the afternoon, participate in the Aarti ceremony in which the devotees sing ancient hymns for the God. Let your guide narrate for you the interesting stories of Hindu mythology, and provide you with more details about Hinduism. Afterwards, you'll visit Sahelion Ki Bari Garden.
From there, walk to the legendary Bhagore Ki Haveli, graciously built beside Lake Pichola and carefully restored through the rise and fall of various empires. Also visit the gallery, featuring a fascinating collection of period photos of Udaipur and a surreal collection of world-famous monuments carved out of polystyrene.
As the sun starts to set, proceed with your guide to a cultural extravaganza performed inside the Bagore Ki Haveli. Witness the Dharohar Dance Show performed on the premises of the Haveli, exhibiting seven traditional dances of Rajasthan. The musical dance show is running at the same location for past 10 years, and is an excellent way to understand and enjoy Rajasthan’s folklore. The show runs for an hour and will come to an end at 8pm.
