About this activity
After you are picked up in the morning from your hotel in Ulaanbaatar, you will be driven to Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes, a semi-desert type beautiful landscape with big sand dunes. Your lunch will be served at a suitable spot on the way. The mountain is home to hundreds of birds, deer and gazelle. You will be able to go hiking around the area or ride a camel for a couple of hours to the small sand dunes nearby called “Elsen Tasarkhai".
Later, you will visit a local nomad family where you will have an opportunity to experience their way of life, their culture and traditions. Afterward, you will be transferred back to Ulaanbaatar where this tour concludes.

A great tour. Best way to see a little bit of the desert in a day from UB. You get to visit and talk with a nomadic family and ride a camel or a horse in amazing landscapes. Highly recommended!
Really enjoyed this trip. A great way to explore outside of the city if you do not have time to spend a few nights in the Gobi desert. Amazing scenery, and lots of photo stops.
An absolute must in Mongolia! Although its a bit expensive it worth every cent at all! Mr Bat we have as a guide was a perfect tourguide,very good english speaking and as a person he was perfect!
Nice trip!!! Bat was a very nice guide who told us a lot about history and culture in mongolia. And I had the oppurtunati to ride a camel :)
If I could have stayed the night with the nomadic family, my trip would have been complete. Loved them. Fed us local food, horse milk to drink which is a must. Camel ride was fun but not good for your man bits. Tour guide took us off the trek to see vast wilderness.
