5 day Best of Central Mongolia

Itinerary

Day 1: Semi Gobi

Pass By: Elsen Tasarkhai (Sand Dune Mini Gobi), Rashaant, Mongolia
Drive to Elsen Tasarkhai or best known as semi-Gobi, where you will be introduced to Mongolian nomadic way of life! With the camel herders' family, you will have the chance to exlpore the sand dunes on Mongolian camels! Participate in the daily life of a nomadic family. The nomadic family has camels, horses, goats and sheeps. You can even milk and herd them with the family ;)

Day 2: Khugnu Khan National Park & Kharkhorin

Pass By: Khugnu Tarna, Mongolia
Drive to the Khugnu Khan, where you will find the remainings of Buddhist temple "Uvgun", which was built in 17th century. In this national park you will have the chance to see wild sheep, ibex, fox, deer, wolves & many more! After visiting the temple and the park, you will be taken to the anicent capital city of Mongol Empire! In Kharkhorin city you will visit the Erdene Zuu monastery of 16th century. After visiting it, you will be on the top of the mountain, where you can see the whole Kharkhorin city and UNESCO World Heritage site of Orkhon Valley.

Day 3: Ugii Lake

Pass By: Ugii nuur, Ugiinuur Rd, Зэгстэй, Mongolia
Drive to Ugii lake, which is around an hour of drive from Kharkhorin city. There you will have your own quality time with the possibility of fishing and hiking around the beautiful lake of Ugii. All the equipments necessary for fishing will be provided. Watch the one of the most beautiful sunset over the Ugii lake

Day 4: Khustai National Park

Pass By: Hustai National Park, Ulaanbaatar 13 Mongolia
Drive to Khustai National Park, where there is the last remaining wild horses of the world best known as Prezewalski horse or Takhi in Mongolian. In this beautiful national park, you will have the chance to watch deers, many different types of birds, foxes besides wild horses.

Day 5: Mother Rock

Pass By: Eej Khad, Sergelen, Mongolia
Drive to Eej Khad, where you will travel through central Mongolian landscapes with beautiful rock formations. Eej Khad or Mother Rock is the most important shamic ritual place for Mongolians. You will have the chance to experience & see an interesting rituals of Mongolian shamanism & Buddhims at the same time!
