Upon arrival at Ulaanbaatar airport, you will be greeted and escorted to your hotel. After lunch, you will have a full city tour in Ulaanbaatar.

Today, preview the Naadam Festival. Visit horse-racing ground for a race of foals and archery site for "Shagai" archers. You will also enjoy a national folklore performance.

Enjoy opening ceremony of Naadam Festival with marches of military, monks, and athletes as well as live performance of the national instrument, Morin Khuur, and a choir before the real fun begins. Watch tournaments of wrestling and archery in the Central Stadium and horse races outside the city center.

Rise early to catch a flight to Dalanzadgad, the capital of Umnugobi Aimag, and drive to Yol Am, a wonderful picturesque gorge with year round ice field surrounded by sheer rocks. This area is situated in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park which encompasses the "Three Beauties" peaks and the eastern most edges of Altai Mountains.

After breakfast, take a trip to Khongor sand dunes and visit Dungene Valley, a rocky canyons. You will be riding on Bactrian camel to explore the Khongor sand dunes. The two-humped camels are exceptionally comfortable to ride as you are supported by the humps while sitting comfortably in between them. Additionally, you will have an opportunity to visit a family of camel herdsmen to experience their culture, traditions and lifestyle. Khongor sand dunes are Mongolia's largest sand dunes with a height of 985 feet (300 meters) in some areas. Color of these sand dunes changes throughout the day from yellow to silvery and rosy at sunrise or sunset.

Today, drive to Bayanzag, also known as Flaming Cliffs, where the first ever nest of dinosaur eggs were discovered in 1922 and a famous site of remains of dinosaurs that populated in this area 60 million years ago. Enjoy a walk in the land where hundreds of thousands of dinosaurs once roamed and gaining knowledge of classic desert vegetation.

July 15: (B, L, D)

After breakfast, you will fly back to Ulaanbaatar and drive to giant Chinggis Khaan statue to see this 131 feet (40 meter) tall monument of Chinggis Khaan holding a golden whip. You will also visit souvenir and cashmere shops to select presents for your loved ones before attending a performance concert of national folklore in the evening.

This morning, you will be transferred to Ulaanbaatar Airport where this unforgettable 8 days trip concludes.
