Tour highlights
• Spend time with nomadic people and learn about their ways of life in the twenty-first century.
• Travel along the ancient nomadic paths through the mountains just as their ancestors have done for over 5000 years
• More than one way to travel – walk with the herds and herdsmen, ride in the vehicles, or maybe ride a horse and be part of the herd!
• Try fresh milk from the goats, yaks, camels, and horses, or some of the best meat in the world along the route. Maybe even have a chance to milk the animals yourself!
• Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included, and will be traditional Khazakh food prepared by the herdsman over a welcoming warm fire
• Endulge in the wider Kazakh cultural experience through traditional musical entertainment, singing and playing instruments such as the dombrah in the downtime.
• Meet a Golden Eagle and the Burkitshi falconer during a training session to see just how he trains the bird of prey for hunting in the wildlands. You can also feel the immense weight of the bird on your own arm as you “fly the bird” yourself.
