About this activity
Day 1:Urumqi (L)

Your English speaking guide and private car will pick you up at 10:00am in your Urumqi hotel's lobby. Your exploration begins with a visit to the Red Hill, which is a symbol of Urumqi. Walk around the park and finally go up to the peak of the hill to enjoy the birds view of the Urumqi city.

Continue to the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Museum (Close on Monday). Your private guide will provide history and background information of the exhibition which including a very famous mummy exhibit. Next, heading to Erdaoqiao Grand Bazaar, it is the prefect place to experience the local life and mouthwatering food. A delicious lunch in the Urghur restaurant is included. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Urumqi. (Please book your own hotel)

Day 2: Urmuqi - Turpan - Kashgar (L, D)

Start your tour at 8:00am in your Urumqi hotel's lobby. Then heading directly to Turpan, it will take about 3 hours. Your professional tour guide will give you an explication of the Silk Road and the related Chinese history and culture on the way. Feel free to discuss with your tour guide on which attractions you are interested, choose 2 attractions in Turpan from following:
• Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves.
• Emin Minaret (Su Gong Ta)
• Karez irrigation system
• Ancient City of Jiaohe (Yarkhoto)
• Flaming Mountains
• Astana Tombs
• Ancient City of Gaochang

After your sightseeing, your tour guide will drop you off at Turpan Airport for your late evening flight to Kashgar, your driver in Kashgar will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel in Kashgar (Please book your own hotel)

Day 3: Kashgar - Urmuqi (L)

Meet your guide at 10:00am and start to explore the 2000-year-old ancient city which full of customs, stories and homes. You will gets the sense of what this legendary Central Asian hub was like in the days when the Silk Road was at its zenith. Continue to the Id Kah Mosque which is typical of Uygur Islamic architecture. Being one of the largest mosques in China, it can accommodate up to 20,000 people for religious holidays or the Friday prayers. The mosque is busy and its vast esplanade serves as a meeting place.

Stop at a local restaurant for an authentic local Lunch. Then, explore the famous Apakh Hoja Tomb which is the holiest place in Xinjiang for the Muslims, also an architectural treasure. The site is also known as the Xiang Fei (Fragrant Concubine) Tomb in memory of Abakh Khoja’s granddaughter, Iparhan, who was the Fragrant Concubine of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty.

Be dropped off at Kashgar Airport for your evening flight back to Urumqi. Your driver will transfer you back to your hotel in Urumqi.
