About this activity
This tour is for those who want to get into details, and take more time to explore Tierra del Fuego National Park. Specialized, English-speaking and personable guides will pick you up at your hotel slightly past 8 AM. Once inside the National Park, we will drive you around in a vehicle, and take you some low difficulty walks, so you can know this place the best way possible, while having the chance to interact with your guide. The tour itinerary will take you to the panoramic points to Ensenada and Lapataia Bays, lake Roca, where we will serve lunch (included, with drinks). After enjoying a good meal in Tierra del Fuego National Park, you will be back at your hotel around 2:30 PM. The Park will ask you to pay an entrance fee of $350.- pesos per person in cash (only cash pesos) unless you are entitled to any discount price according to the Park authorities.

Tour guide Claudio was fantastic. He really knows the area and is very fluent in both Spanish and English. Two small walks were included in the tour and both were very achievable for us 60-somethings. The lunch was held in a geodesic dome tent within the park. It consisted of cold appetizers, an entree of chicken leg and thigh with rice and moist cake for dessert. Wine, water and Pepsi were offered as beverages. Our mistake was to bring only lightweight waterproof jackets. The weather can shift from sunny and warm to light rain, cold and windy very quickly. We should have also brought warmer jackets and left them in the van when they were not needed.
