Horseback Riding in Escondido lake

We invite you to enjoy the amazing landscape of Escondido Lake. Fire, earth, air and water: all the elements merged into a horse ride.

It is a half-day excursion (4.30 hours). We start with the pick up (approximately at 3:30 p.m.) at your respective lodging, and then we advance towards the lakes’ area through National Road N ° 3, where we will pass through peat valleys and cross the Andes mountain range at the Garibaldi Pass.

We will visit the refuge of the rural settlement “Laguna Escondida”. This estancia was founded by our family in 1956; it is located 55 km from Ushuaia, in the middle of the Andes Mountain Range.

The Bronzovich settled in this area to exploit forestry the Lenga (local wood)

This will be the starting point to start our ride. The cowboy guide in charge will choose the Creole horse according to each rider’s level.

We have comfortable and lightweight horse saddles that provide greater lightness for riding.

This is a moment of connection (human-animal) to which we attach great importance. Horses are a family tradition. We are ambassadors of "Pato" in Tierra del Fuego, the national sport. Horses are our passion and we want to share it.

The activity lasts for one hour. We will enter a sub-Antarctic forest, where we can observe different types of trees of the genus Nothofagus.

We will also cross part of the old road Nro. 3 that will take us to the shores of Lake Escondido, where in addition to giving water to horses, we will appreciate the immensity and beauty of a unique panoramic view: lakes, valleys, forests and mountains that materialize our love for this part of the island.

Upon returning to the shelter, we will enjoy a traditional country picnic, surrounded by our new friends.

At sunset (19.00 hrs approximately), we will return to the city loaded with experiences and sensory images that will make of this horse riding a unique experience. The drop-off at the respective accommodations will be at approximately 20.00 hrs
