PADI Open Water Diver Course

The PADI Open Water course takes 3-4 days and consists of some self study and time in class with your instructor, shallow water training, where you learn the basics followed by 4 open water dives where you practise these skills while diving over Utila’s beautiful reefs. Courses start every day and will be scheduled around you and the amount of time you have on your vacation. Classes are small with a maximum of 4 students per instructor which allows us to be flexible and provide you with the attention to detail that you deserve. PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases: - Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving - Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills - Open Water Dives 4 open water dives where you practise these skills while diving over Utila’s beautiful reefs. If you’ve tried diving through a Discover Scuba Diving experience or resort course, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification.
