Itinerary

Day 1: UYUNI – SALAR DE UYUNI – AJENCHA

Stop At: Uyuni salt lake, Bolivia
Start of the tour to around 11:00am, from our office in Uyuni. We will start the tour visiting the Train Cemetery and Population of Colchani, places to know about the history and present of Uyuni, then we enter the wonderful Salar de Uyuni, after a few minutes of travel through this immense white plain we will arrive at the "Hotel de Sal "the first of its kind, which currently functions as a museum.

On our way we can observe fantastic optical illusions that are accentuated in the rainy season (between December and March), also the "Ojos de Agua", small eruptions of water that will help us to know the process of formation of this infinite sea of salt.

At noon we arrive at Isla Incahuasi in the center of the salar, where we can observe large populations of cactus, fossils of sea rocks and spectacular views of the salt from the summit of the island. After lunch we will head towards our lodging in the community of Ajencha or similar in the southern part of the Salar.

Day 2: AJENCHA – LAGUNA COLORADA

Stop At: Uyuni salt lake, Bolivia
We begin our journey towards the volcanic region of Los Lípez, where the Ollagüe Volcano is located. We can observe at a distance. Later we started our trip to the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve on the way we will be able to observe the lagoons called "High Andean Jewels": Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota and Honda, which have varieties of local fauna.

Later we will enter the "Siloli Desert" with stops to take pictures of the impressive landscapes that presents this desert, in it is the famous formation called the "Stone Tree".

We entered the Eduardo Abaroa Andean Fauna Reserve and arrived at the Laguna Colorada, an impressive water deposit with sediments and algae that give shades of brown to deep red, it is possible to observation of the three types of flamingos that exist in the region: James, Andean and Chilean.

Day 3: LAGUNA COLORADA – LAGUNA VERDE – UYUNI

Stop At: Uyuni salt lake, Bolivia
We start the day very early (around 5:30 am) to observe the geysers of the "Sun of Tomorrow", fumaroles and craters with volcanic lava. Afterwards we will enjoy a bath in thermal waters, in spite of the low Temperature is an unforgettable experience.

We continue our journey almost to the border with Chile, in Hito Cajón. On the way we will enjoy the panoramic observation of the "Dalí Desert" with rocks that resemble the work of the great Surrealist painter, besides visiting the Green Lagoon at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano.

From Laguna Verde we start our return to Uyuni, in the afternoon we will walk through the great "Valle de las Rocks ", with remains of volcanic rocks. Finally we will visit the town of San Cristóbal, a town total to its current location for the construction of the largest mine in Bolivia.

Arrival to Uyuni at hrs. 6:00 p.m.

End of our services.
**These hostels do not have heating or hot water. To use the showers with hot water it is necessary to pay an additional directly in the hostel.
