Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Santiago and visit of the city

Stop At: Santiago Comunity Church, Avenida Holanda 151, Santiago 7510040 Chile
Welcome to the airport by the guide and private transfer to the Hotel Zañartu, in the heart of historic Santiago. Break during check-in orimmediate departure to discover the city on foot: the streets and historic buildings, Plaza de Armas, "La Moneda" and lunch in the central fish market or aperitif in the barrio Bellavista. Visit the Neruda House "La Chascona" and in the evening, go up the funicular up to Cerro San Cristobal for the sunset. On the way back we stop for dinner at the picturesque "Rincon Nerudiano".

Day 2: Flight to Calama and scenic route Valle Arcoiris, Valle de la Luna and San Pedro de Atacama

Stop At: Church of San Pedro de Atacama, Central Square, San Pedro de Atacama Chile
Transfer to the airport and flight to Calama, reception of the guide. In SUV, travel to San Pedro de Atacama, picnic at Valle del Arcoiris and visit to the archaeological site of Hierbas Buenas. Arrival in San Pedro with a visit to the Moon Valley for the sunset.

Day 3: The Salt of the Earth tour

Stop At: Salar de Atacama, Antofagasta Chile
Visit to the heart of the Atacama Salar. The altiplanic lagoons, Piedras Rojas, the salar de Tuyasto and the pueblo of Peine and its thermal baths.

From 8.00am to 5pm - 6pm approx. Journey to the center of the salt, to the lagoon Chaxa with its flamingos. On the carreteraclimb up the Andes, on the beautiful altiplano route and take a small mountain road, to reach the lagoons Miscanti and Meñiques. We continue on the international road, towards Argentina, to the salar of Talar and its Piedras Rojas. Shortly after, we enter the Andes, still surrounded by Volcani, at our final point of the day: the Salar de Tuyasto. Back to the salt of Atacama, we stop to stay overnight in Peine, a village on the slopes of the Andes, with a wonderful view of the salt.

Day 4: Thermal baths and trekking to the crater Monturaqui, sunset in the Salar of Atacama and return to San Pedro de Atacama

Stop At: Salar de Atacama, Antofagasta Chile
In the morning swim in the thermal waters of Peine and off-road excursion to the crater of the largest meteorological impact in Chile and the best preserved in South America.

Final approach with a short trek. Packed lunch included. Returning to San Pedro, we visit the "Ojos del Salar" and the Tebenquinche lagoon, for a spectacular sunset in the middle of the Salar de Atacama.

Day 5: Trekking to the giant cactus canyon, visit to the geothermal field and swim in the Puritama spa

Stop At: Salar de Atacama, Antofagasta Chile
Departure at 8am from San Pedro, go north on the plateau, at 3 thousand meters we find the entrance to the canyon of Guatin. Trek of about an hour, crossing several times, the stream and the falls of this canyon of rare beauty, oasis of the Cardones cactus. In jeep, we continue the ascent of the Andean plateau, up to the geysers of the Tatio (4300 meters). On the way back, we visit the Puritama spa. Descend on foot into the deep canyon, to reach the warm river of Puritama, and swim in the natural cascading pools of this heavenly oasis. Picnic lunch at the spa. Return to San Pedro around 5pm.

Day 6: Bolivia tour toward the Salar de Uyuni

Stop At: Uyuni salt lake, Bolivia
Departure at 7.30am towards the Hito Cajon border crossing. Trip on Bolivian dirt road and visits to: Laguna Blanca, Laguna Verde, Desierto Dali, Termas de Polques, Geysers Sol de Mañana, the famous Laguna Colorada and the stone tree, to arrive in the evening at the remote Hotel Tayka del Desierto, lost in the middle of the Desierto de Siloli.

Day 7: Road trip on the "Road of the Jewels" and arrival at the Salt Hotel

Stop At: Uyuni salt lake, Bolivia
Today's journey is impressive. Always in the middle of the most limitless Andean altipliano, we follow the "Ruta de las Joyas": The five multi-colored altiplanic lagoons. We aim for the city of Uyuni for reach the Luna Salada, a sophisticated Salt hotel.

Day 8: Crossing the world's largest salt flat

Stop At: Uyuni salt lake, Bolivia
We enter the salar de Uyuni and cross it from the far east to the far west.We stop for lunch on the island Incahuasi, a surreal rock covered by giant cacti in the center of the salt.We continue, towards the volcano Tunupa up to the pueblo of Coquesa, visit to the caves of mommie and short walk to the volcano lookout, for the views from the highest point of view on the salar. We stay overnight in the Tambo Coquesa hotel.

Day 9: Entry into Chile and crossing Nature Reserves of the the Great North of the Chile

Stop At: Parinacota Volcano, Lauca National Park, Putre Chile
Departure at 6 am on panoramic route on the Salar de Coipasa up to the Pisiga / Colchane border. Crossing of Isluga, Vicuñas and Lauca nature reserves, up to Putre (3,700 meters).

Day 10: Excursion to the highest lake in the world

Stop At: Lago Chungara, Altiplano of Arica and Parinacota Region Heroes del morro 632 Arica, Putre 1000000 Chile
Excursion to the Volcan Parinacota and Lake Chungara (4,500 meters). Box lunch. Visit the quebrada of Allane and Monti Suriplaza. Return to Putre

Day 11: From the Andes to the coast on the Pacific Ocean

Stop At: El Morro de Arica, Cerro La Cruz, Arica Chile
Descent from Putre to the sea, to the city of Arica. Panoramic road that leads from 3,500 meters to sea, passing through the Valley-Oasis of Azapa, Picaflor sanctuary (here lunch). Arrival in Arica in the evening (dinner in the port on the pier overlooking the sea lions) Evening visit to the center of Arica and overnight.

Day 12: Flight back to Santiago and the last surprises of Chile

Stop At: Santiago Chile Temple - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Av. Pocuro 1940, Providencia, Santiago, Región Metropolitana, Chile
Flight to Santiago in the morning. Arrival in Santiago and private transfer to the Hotel Zañartu. In the afternoon / evening, we invite you to an aperitif at the "Piojera", a rustic restaurant in Santiago, where the "earthquake" is served, a typical alcoholic drink. And we take you where you prefer, to celebrate your last evening in Chile. Suggested lunch and dinner, but not included.
