This is a private tour. You will not be joining a group.
This is a 4 hour tour and can be offered in the morning or afternoon. The price includes the following;

Your tour will start at the gates of the so called Silent City, Mdina. That's quite an ironic name, as if those walls could talk, they'll probably scream!
These illustrious city walls might have as well saved the Knights, and Malta, from falling when the Ottoman Empire attacked the islands with all their fury. A group of Knights based in Mdina, courageously attacked the Turkish camp while the mighty force of Suleiman was focusing its efforts on attacking Fort Saint Elmo in Valletta. The Knights in Valletta were on the verge of collapse when word came that the Turks were actually retreating. They were afraid of being attacked by an "army" of Knights who came from Mdina.
That army was in actual fact composed of a handful of Knights, with no back up at all. They made history, and you'll visit the same place where the Knights lived, fought and planned their way to the European history books.
But it wasn't only about Knights in shining armour. With a documented history stemming as far back as the Romans, here you will see some of the terrible torture and punishment processes used on the Island.
The narrow streets of Mdina are packed with historic buildings, such as St. Agatha’s church, which was built in 1504. The guide will also lead you to St. Paul’s Cathedral, which is considered to be one of the most prestigious religious spots on the islands.
But no, it’s not just about torture and death, but also about views!
Your tour will then take you to Rabat, the suburb of Mdina where you'll visit the catacombs, underground cemeteries from Roman times. You will go in the catacombs and explore their mysterious surroundings. Your guide will be with you inside the catacombs, and explain why these catacombs were built there.
Now that the tour is over, our driver will then take you back to the hotel.
