About this activity
Leave your Malta hotel (pickup from selected hotels) and travel by coach to one of the island’s oldest quarries. Visit Hagar Qim, Malta’s main pre-historic site that overlooks the wide expanse of the blue Mediterranean and the islet of Filfla.

From Hagar Qim, head to Wied iz-Zurrieq, where (weather permitting – boat price not included) you can take a boat trip to the Blue Grotto, renowned for its crystal clear waters.

After a 3-course lunch with a glass of wine at a local restaurant, drive through local vineyards right up to the idyllic fishing village of Marsaxlokk. You'll have time to stroll through the market set out on its waterfront.

Afterward, continue to the cave at Ghar Dalam, where archaeologists have unearthed ample proof that Malta once formed part of the European landmass. Return to your coach and relax on the way back to the hotel where your tour finishes.

Please note: the sea around the Blue Grotto is rocky, so boat rides are subject to cancellation if the weather is bad.

The hotel pickup lasted for about one hour and a half, which doesn't make much sense as Malta is a small country. The tour was given in various languages, which made the explanations short and incomplete. Lunch was not very good and didn't have all the listed options. I would recommend to visit these places by public bus instead of taking this tour.

Great tours, the boat ride was nice as well. The only problem was the meeting point to get started wasn't so clear but aside from that it was beautiful.

Spectacular scenery -- don't forget to bring a camera AND extra money for boat rental and other add-ons.
