About this activity
You meet your guide at Valletta City Gate (for tourists residing in Malta) or Upper Barracca Gardens near the lift (for tourists getting off a Cruise ship). Our tour will take us to the Upper Barracca Gardens, to enjoy a breathtaking view over the Grand Harbour, we then walk past some of the most important buildings of the City, like Auberge de Castille, the Chapels of Our Lady of Victories and St.Catherine, and if open we go in to visit them, then along Merchant Street, down to St.John's Co~Cathedral. We visit this important Cathedral, which was the Conventual Church of the Order of St. John, including the Oratory, which houses two of Caravaggio's paintings, his masterpiece the beheading of St.John and also St.Jerome Writing. We leave the Cathedral and at this point you can choose between two other places of major interest in Valletta, either we visit the Museum of Archaeology (Neolithic section) or the Grand Master's Palace.
