If you only have a few hours in Victoria, this is the way to see it! We booked this tour as a cruise ship excursion. The Pedaler is a quick walk from the cruise port. The staff made sure our family (my husband and I, and our 19 and 22 year old sons) had properly sized,comfortable bikes. Our tour guide, Ilse, provided a comprehensive tour of the city. She was quite knowledgeable and kept the tour interesting and fun. The food stops exceeded our expectations. We thought we would have little snacks or drinks, but it was far more than that - not only delicious, but quite filling as well! Ilse has a delightful personality and infused personal stories with local lore. She gave us insight into the history of the natives of the area, as well as exposure to the current multicultural vibe of the city. This bike tour with Ilse was a wonderful way to see Victoria!
Our Bike and Food tour was fantastic. It ended up that the tour only included my wife and I. With only two people on the tour, our tour guide, Caitlan (spelling might be incorrect) could adjust the timing at each food stop based upon our preferences. Caitlan was a fantastic guide. She made us feel very safe biking the often busy streets of downtown Victoria, and she was a pleasure to talk to. All the food was great, and the talk by the owners and staff at each location was very informative. The tour was well worth the time and money. We will definitely book this same tour on our next annual trip to Victoria next year.
We had our tour with Conor. It was fantastic. The tour is delicious and informative. Conor really has a passion for food and is very knowledgeable about the area. He pointed out a lot of other options for us to try later. We could not have been happier with this tour. The bikes are comfortable and fun to use - cruisers. There is quite a bit of biking on the tour in addition to ample stopping. Dress for light to moderate exercise. We made about 6-7 stops on the trip, everything was delicious and authentic. The places you will stop at take food very seriously and only use the freshest ingredients and authentic methods. Food is their passion and it is impossible not to appreciate that while in their hands. Would definitely recommend to others.
