About this activity
Visit: FlyOver Canada, 201-999 Canada Place, Vancouver, British Columbia V6C 3E1 Canada

Book a FlyOver Canada ticket and take an exhilarating flight simulation ride. Your 25-minute experience inside a 3-story high-dome-screen theater is made up of three stages: the pre-show, pre-launch and the 8-minute Ultimate Flying Ride, the longest simulated flight ride in the world.

First, walk into the pre-show area for an audio-visual showcasing the people of Canada. From there, head to the boarding zone for your preflight briefing. After a safety orientation, you’re led to the flight deck. Get buckled in and hold on for takeoff!

Soar from coast to coast in Canada, and immerse yourself in spectacular scenery. Grab on to your seat as you dive from high peaks to the rolling countryside; see fishermen, cowboys, lakes and the woods — they’re so close you can almost touch them. Feel the wind and rain in your face, and inhale heady scents of wherever you’re flying through.

When your flight ride ends, take a moment to recover and then exit through the hangar.

This tour is available all-year round, with shows starting every 20 minutes during operating hours.

An amazing experience. I took my twin 7-year-old grandkids and was a bit apprehensive about how they might be a bit scared. WRONG! Enjoyed it immensely, and begged me to do it again immediately!

Excellent attraction. Very life like. You can really feel as if you are flying, and the views, and sights are amazing.

I'm not sure what I expected, but this attraction exceeded those expectations. We arrived into Vancouver via ship and FlyOver Canada was at the same port. It's a very convenient location. I purchased tickets via Viator and we printed them out as directed, but you don't get a scheduled time when booking this way. When we arrived in line we were directed to go back to their ticketing area inside their little gift shop to exchange our paper vouchers for a ticket with a time slot. So remember to do that if you book via a third party. Once we got our time slot, we stood in a long outside line. This was December in Canada, so it was cold and rainy. The area is covered overhead but is still exposed to the elements, so be prepared. They did have heat lamps set up and the line moved rather quickly, so it was bearable. The first room was an introductory-type setting, which showed a video. Initially, I thought that was going to be all there was to this attraction and I was UPSET! Then we were moved into another room to queue entry into the main/ride area. Once on the ride, we strapped in, the lights when out, and the next thing I knew, we were soaring! There was some tilting and there was wind and mist. I felt like I was flying with the birds! I don't know how they do it I don't know if the floor drops or if you move beyond the floor... But don't think too hard about the science behind it, just enjoy the ride. After the ride, we went back to their store and bought digital copies of our pictures for what I felt was a reasonable price. There are a lot of souvenirs in their gift shop, but you could find those anywhere so dont feel pressured to get something right then and there. It was my first time in Canada and this was an awesome introduction to the country. It was so much fun! I thoroughly enjoyed this virtual soar, and I would definitely do it again!

The queue was rather long during the holidays, but the ride itself was amazing! We were very impressed.

We wish we could do this ride again and again! In a central location, right on the dock near the cruise ships. If we hadn't booked this experience before we left on holidays we may have missed out. Very popular attraction but sooooo worth the wait. Amazing insight into Canada and the surrounding landscape. Even though you are seated and buckled in it seems like you are flying over the amazing scenery. Better than any theme park ride.

My expectation for Fly Over Canada wasn't very high. I had experienced another flight simulation in another city, and wasn't too impressed. I was pleasantly pleased with Fly Over Canada. I highly recommend this simulation.

It was great, but I expected a longer flight for your money's worth.
