English Bay Beach, also called First Beach, located along Beach Ave between Gilford St and Bidwell St, is the most populated beach area in Vancouver's downtown area.

Stop At: Lost Lagoon, Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia Canada

Lost Lagoon is the body of water to the west of the causeway. A walk around Lost Lagoon is only 1.8 km or 2,362 steps and will take about 30 minutes. There is much to discover on this relatively short walk.

Brockton Point had been inhabited by the First Nations for thousands of years. There were still people living at Brockton Point up until the 1950s. Brockton Point was named after Francis Brockton who was the ship engineer on the HMS Plumber which "discovered" Coal Harbour in 1859. Edward Stamp attempted to set up the first sawmill in Burrard Inlet here prior to 1865, but because of the currents decided to move the sawmill to what is now Gastown which led to the formation of Vancouver a few years later!
