About this activity
On each of the tour options, you'll find yourself racing beside steep cliffs and caves, and spotting harbor seals at play. A highlight of the cruise is Pam Rocks, popular with Harbor Seals and majestic bald eagles soaring overhead. Cruise out into The Strait of Georgia to see awesome views of Vancouver.
The Howe Sound Sea Safari Cruise is fast but safe. The aluminum hull design with inflatable tubes makes it comfortable in calm or rough water. Depending on the weather, either Mustang Integrity suits or approved life vests are provided for your comfort and safety. The vessel is equipped with VHF radio and a cell phone. You'll get to choose from one of the three adventures below.
The Deep Fjord Tour will soar you up the coastline with the eagles. As you travel this deep into the sound, you will get a look at more of Vancouver’s history and see some untouched coast line, as it was before this great city was colonized.
The Bowen Explorer Tour will take you on an amazing ride exploring the highlights of Howe Sound from hugging the coastline and islands to Howe Sound, all the while taking in the incredible wildlife. Check out the seal colony and bird sanctuary, not to mention the iconic Pt. Atkinson Lighthouse.
The Circle Tour will weave you along and around the coastlines and islands of Howe Sound. You will be amazed by the cliffs towering above as you explore the cool glacier water surrounding Anvil Island, see seals sunning themselves at Pam Rocks, and take in the spectacular waterfront homes of West Vancouver.
Just relax and enjoy the ride!
What to Wear:
• Layered clothing works really well and closed shoes are best
• Sunglasses are a good idea on bright days as well as sunscreen
• Extra clothes or bags can be locked in a storage room at the office so that they do not get wet on the boat

This was SUCH a fun experience to do. I went with my husband and two friends who have been living in Vancouver for 30 years and they really enjoyed this and had so much fun. Two hours discovering beautiful Howe sound and learning about flora and fauna up close was really great. Boat was fast,fun and comfortable. Our guide, Darren was great and man he could make this boat fly! HIGHLY recommend this and a visit to pretty Horshoe Bay is always a good thing to do.
Fantastic trip, far exceeded our expectations, the captain really delivered the fun! I highly recommend this trip to anyone that loves being on the water and getting sea spray in your face, getting up close to seals, eagles,etc while learning many interesting facts about both the creature and human residents of Howe Sound. The trip was a highlight of our vacation, the best!
Went on this tour with my teenage sons and had a blast. The tour guide was excellent and the scenery was magnificent. An awesome way to experience part of the beauty of the area. My sons enjoyed getting wet on the ride and getting to see harbor seals were an added bonus to the tour. A great time !
