Stanley Park Photography Tour in Vancouver

2 h
About this activity
With your digital camera in hand, head to Stanley Park in the morning to meet your photographer-guide, who’s also an environmental specialist. Your laid-back 2-hour photography walking tour is open to all levels and covers a stroller-friendly route, so families are welcome.
DSLRs are recommended but bring any equipment you’d like to become familiar with.
Stanley Park is a temperate rainforest spanning 1,000 acres (405 hectares), bounded on three sides by the water. Before heading down its perimeter Seawall path, your guide will discuss your camera with you. Learn how to take advantage of its various settings, including ISO sensitivity, aperture and shutter speed, motion photography, depth of field and composition elements.
Follow your guide’s lead along the Seawall and line up postcard-perfect scenes of Vancouver’s cityscapes, North Shore mountains and Burrard Inlet. Depending on the route that day, you could visit Lost Lagoon, a former tidal flat transformed into a bio-filtration marsh. There are 15 bald eagle nests in the park; keep your eyes peeled for these majestic birds, as well as herons, and capture them in flight.
Your tour concludes back at the starting point, with stunning photos of Stanley Park to turn into your next holiday card to send to family and friends!
