A very good and well orchestrated tour. Drivers were very knowledgeable and the hop on hop off feature is great. Will definitely use Viator when available.

I kind of bought this tour with a degree of skepticism. I've had experience doing hop-ons and hop-offs in Mexico, and though they really show you pretty much everything without the worry of having to pay for public transportation or cabs wherever you go, unless you've already mapped exactly where you'd like to get off and how long you need to really see your spots, it can be a disaster. Thankfully I had the chance to see where I wanted to go and what I wanted to see over those two days, and I was able to use the Trolley to my advantage. The guides on the ones I took gave all kinds of details you otherwise probably wouldn't hear or get to know by just roaming around on your own, and the tickets to Capilano and Grouse were absolutely worth it. Capilano by far was the highlight for me. It's beautiful, a great walk/hike through everything with amazing sights, and it totally invites you to stay for a meal or drinks with good company and even occasional live music throughout the day. Grouse... Grouse is a full day thing. I regretted not going from early-morning mid-day as it's more ambitious than just a 3-4 hour run through, there's really just way too much to do there, and even though you can stay until pretty late, the temptation to use the 6-6:30pm free shuttle back to Downtown Vancouver is pretty big when compared to the public route and ferry you have to take back across otherwise. Admittedly, the ferry was a worthwhile experience though, as I got an amazing sunset coming into port.

The trolley did get us to where we wanted to be, except that we weren't told that we would catch the free bus to Capilano and Grouse Mountain, the trolley doesn't go to either place, however our entrance fee was paid as promised. Also, you can't get from Grouse Mountain to Capitano. You have to catch a city bus, pay only with Canadian coins. Also, we have to wait over an hour for the trolley to return to Granville Market. It was supposed to show every 20 minutes. Lastly, the busses were always full, if no one got off you were not getting on.

The schedule shows last trolley at 5PM but that was not the case. We waited at the Hyatt from 2PM and the trolley showed up at 245PM. Then the driver tells us that WAS the last trolley. So you really can't hop on off and on more than once. Twice if you are very lucky and start first thing in the morning.
