2-Day Wildlife and Farm Hiking Adventure

Day 1: Bergslagen Forest (L,D)

After check-in and settling in to your timber cottage at 9am in Ulvsbomuren, your 2-Day Wildlife and Farm Hiking Adventure will begin. Your overnight accommodations are set on an old forest farm from the 17th century near the small village of Ramnas. Easy to access, it is less than a 1-hour drive by car from Vasteras Airport or 2-hours from Arlanda Airport, not to mention it is even reachable by train.

After settling into your timber cottage, you will be able to choose from different starting points and different lengths of your hike. You will even receive a transfer to your starting point. The hiking is not guided and you will walk your way back to Ulvsbomuren enjoying the wildlife and the beautiful scenery. Along the hiking trail of Bruksleden you will find a variety of mammals like lynx, wolf, moose, roedeer, fox, badger and wild boar together with birds like the golden eagle, the white tailed eagle, woodpeckers, owls and forest birds such as black grouse and capercaillie. There will be lunch and snacks to bring along together with a map and compass.

Once back on the farm, you will have some time to relax on the large wooden deck with a beautiful view over the fields before the 3-course dinner is served with ingredients from the farm and the forest such as game, lamb, mushrooms and wild berries, all locally produced, freshly harvested and well prepared.

Day 2: Ulvsbomuren Farm (B)

After breakfast, there will be time for some activities on your own like exploring the farm before departure.
