Venice is well known as the City of trade. Merchants for everywhere coming to Venice for their business had some dedicated place to trade and to stay, those places are known as “ Fonteghi” from the Arab “ Funduq” (modest house – inn). Those palaces become rapidly real Markets, storage rooms and primitive Inns. We begin our visit from Campo dei Mori, that it is in “Cannaregio Sestiere”, where near we can see also Palazzo Cammello.
The Campo dei Mori and Palazzo Cammello was an area or the place of merchants that came from Peloponnese. They were merchants of silks, that came at Venice on 1112, and where they built the Mastelli Palace. We continue our walk until we reach Fondaco dei Turchi. The fondaco served as a combination home, warehouse, and market for the Turkish traders, as the Fondaco dei Tedeschi served as headquarters and restricted living quarters for German foreigners. After we reach Fondaco dei Tedeschi. The headquarters and restricted living quarters of the city' German merchants. Our tour ends in the fantastic Rialto’s market, with a short Spritz break. Rialto is and has been for many centuries the financial and commercial centre of Venice. We can see and know the importance of this market and his evolution.
