Venetian Home Made Cooking Class
We start with a stroll in the Rialto area, the ancient merchants and the Market area.
Your chef will talk about the NIZIOLETI, the white boxes painted on the walls showing the name of the places. They explain which kind of products were sold here such as, for instance, the Nizioleto Casaria, which means that all the dairy products were traded here.
Then, we will go to my trusted butchery or fish desk, depending on the menu you choose. We will choose fish or meat for your First and Main Course.
At the Fruit Market we will buy the vegetables for your Side Course, and later we will walk to my apartment overlooking the Frari Chuch, passing through the labyrinth of narrow passageways.
At home, you will learn how to use your ingredients.
First, you will cook the sauce for your First Course, the Pasta.
Second, you will prepare your Main Course, cooking it in a pan, or on a grill.
Third, you will finish your menu, cooking your Side Course.
At last, you will cook the Pasta and your lunch will be ready!
We will taste the dishes you prepared and we will toast the chefs!
For your Venetian Menu you can choose one of the following ones.
At the end of the cooking class a booklet of the recipes will be issued to each participant.
Menu BIGOLI
"Bigoli in salsa" thick spaghetti with anchovies and onion sauce
Venetian calf’s liver
Boiled artichokes bottoms with garlic and parsley
Zaeti, Bussolai, Esse and Baicoli (Venetian typical biscuits)

Menu COZZE
Spaghetti with mussels and tomato sauce
Grilled Swordfish or Tuna with parsley
Red radicchio cooked in a pan
Zaeti, Bussolai, Esse and Baicoli (Venetian typical biscuits)
Drinks: Wine (sparkling or still white Prosecco), Orange Juice, Coke, Water
MENU VONGOLE
Spaghetti pasta with clams
Grilled Monkfish with parsley
Potatoes and onions cooked in a pan
Zaeti, Bussolai, Esse and Baicoli (Venetian typical biscuit)
Drinks: Wine (sparkling or still white Prosecco), Orange Juice, Coke, Water
MENU SCAMPI
Spaghetti pasta with Scampi and tomato sauce
Boiled King Prawns with parsley
Beans with onions
Zaeti, Bussolai, Esse and Baicoli (Venetian typical biscuit)
Drinks: Wine (sparkling or still white Prosecco), Orange Juice, Coke, Water
