A thoroughly enjoyable excursion. We were driven in a comfortable minibus from the centre of Verona out into the surrounding countryside, and on to the vineyard. Marie, our guide and driver, was wonderful, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and spoke excellent English. The tour around the vineyard, the explanations of the processes, the history were all a fascinating precursor to the main event - the tasting. A selection of whites and then reds, interspersed with superb local salamis and cheeses made for a wonderful experience, building up to the Amarone wines themselves. We were given two to try, the latter which was 2007 vintage was one of the best I have ever tasted. Having been so appreciative of the local cheeses we had been served, Marie took us to a local specialist cheese producer on our way back to Verona, which provided an opportunity for even more tasting and a few purchases. A thoroughly enjoyable excursion.

Excellent experience. Had fantastic local tour guides Mateo and Maria who went above and beyond. Very friendly and proud to showcase their home town. Went the extra mile and after the tour took us to a popular look out that overlooked Verona city. They also gave us a list of restaurants recommendations to end the tour. Amazing experience, highly recommended.
