Pass By: Arena di Verona, Piazza Bra 1, 37121, Verona Italy

Learn about the romance, drama and family feuds of Verona that led Shakespeare to choose the city as the setting for Romeo and Juliet. Start your 2-hour guided tour at the Arena that was built before Rome’s Colosseum and is still used for cultural events.

Walk to Juliet's house to see the famous balcony and the statue of Juliet. Continue to Herbs Square, where you’ll find a lively market, the Lamberti Tower and the ancient Domus Mercatorum. Visit historic Signori Square, where the entire history of Verona can be seen. You’ll find structures from the Romans through the Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance periods. Pass through medieval courtyards on your way to the Scala Family Tombs.

This was a spectacular tour in the beautiful city of Verona. Our guide, Dennis, was so friendly and knowledgeable. As we walked the city, Dennis told us so much about its history that we feel we know more about it that the experienced tourist. He informed us about the stories behind the buildings and statues. So much Roman and Medieval history. We will definitely recommend Dennis to anyone wanting an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. Thank you, Dennis!

Francesca did an outstanding job. He was funny, energetic, and charming all the while loading us with interesting facts about his wonderful city. He intro covered 2000 years of history in about 5 minutes. Seriously. The tour lasted almost 2 hours. Plenty of time was spent discussing the Capulets and Montagues. Francesca brought this city to life for my wife and me. Thank you!

Excellent all around. First, we almost missed the tour entirely because we accidentally ended up in Milano long story. The tour guide was waiting for us in Verona and was worried so she called me. When I told her that we were in Milano by mistake and were terribly sad that we were going to miss the tour, she spoke with the other tourists and they agreed to postpone the tour until later in the day and we were able to get to Verona in the afternoon and take the walking tour! The tour guide I apologize for not remembering her name she is the author of the tour book that they sell in the piazza was very gracious and I'll never forget her courtesy in rearranging the time of the tour so we could make it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed Verona. The best part of the tour is that it was a small group and the tour guide was not in a hurry. We will definitely go back some day.

Great walking tour and would recommend for anyone visiting Verona! Our tour guide Maria was very friendly and knowledgeable and provided a lot of information on the history of Verona The only concern is that I had called to confirm the meeting place and was told in front of the Arena however that was not the meeting point and wasted some time of the tour trying to locate our tour guide otherwise this was a great tour!!
