This was a great day. Our guide, Laura, knew about wine, the countryside, history and had a pleasing personality. We visited a small village on the way to the winery. A wedding was being held in the village church and we got to see the flowers and all the ladies getting things ready. We missed the bride by minutes. We saw a working winery at harvest time and were told all about the process. We then went to their tasting room and had cheese and meat and bread while tasting some very nice wines. It was a wonderful day and I would suggest it to anyone who loves wine and seeing new areas. The views from the hills were stunning. One caveat: We had to walk up hill to the church and if someone has trouble walking, it would not be easy.
