Wine tasting at the Tenuta Canova on Lake Garda
Veneto represents an age-old civilization known all over the world. The history of Masi is the history of a family and its vineyards in Verona, within the region of Veneto. The name itself comes from Vaio dei Masi, the small valley bought at the end of the 18th century by the Boscaini Family who remain the owners even today. Currently, Masi is found among the best "terroir" of Veneto with vineyards and historic farmsteads. Since 1973, it has been collaborating in Valpolicella with the Counts of Serego Alighieri, direct descendants of the poet Dante. More recently, it has been working also in Trentino with the Counts of Bossi Fedrigotti, who have dedicated themselves to winemaking for centuries with love and professionalism. These collaborations were formed with the intention of recovering the luster of the grape growing and winemaking tradition of the local nobility. Masi has always faithfully interpreted the unique nature of the land and represented a reality that combines tradition and innovation, transforming its product from an ordinary to an extraordinary wine.
Masi Tenuta Canova on Lake Garda, at the doorway to Lazise, cordially welcomes wine and food lovers. Surrounded by vineyards, you will find the grape-pressing facility for the "appassimento," and the winery itself, where the renowned Campofiorin is aged and refined. At the accompanying wine bar, you will have the opportunity to taste Masi wines with dishes inspired by the regional cuisine.
In the summer, the outside courtyard, surrounded by olive groves, offers a wonderful and relaxing place for tastings, perfect also for families. Complete your Masi Wine Experience with a visit to the innovative wine museum.
