Jet Boat Sunset Cruise in Victoria Falls

Jet boats are a unique cruising division using specially designed “jet-propelled” boats that can operate in very shallow water amongst the islands directly above The Victoria Falls themselves. Each boat has two engines for increased safety and is “propeller-less”, so you can experience the Zambezi River as viewed by David Livingstone as he canoed, unknowingly, towards The Victoria Falls.

This part of the Zambezi River is characterised by a multitude of small and large islands, clad with lush tropical vegetation and is an area of renowned scenic beauty. The river is part of the national parks so you can expect to see hippo, crocodile and bushbuck, as well as a host of smaller species and an abundant variety of birdlife (animal sightings not guaranteed). When you meander between the islands above “The Smoke that Thunders” (the local name given to the Victoria Falls) you have the chance to explore and get close up to flora and fauna that make themselves at home in the area. You may be fortunate enough to witness elephants swimming from island to island, grazing or dusting themselves on the riverbanks, or hippos wallowing in the river, or the ever-present crocodiles that warm themselves on the river bank.
