The Belvedere is one of the most important and beautiful Imperial complexes in Europe. The Belvedere’s baroque palaces, the Upper and Lower Belvedere, were built in the 18th century as the summer residence for the Prince Eugene of Savoy.

Discover the priceless collection of art that the Belvedere’s magnificent palaces hold within their walls! You will see the world’s largest collection of Gustav Klimt as well as masterpieces by Schiele, Kokoschka, Waldmüller, Renoir, Monet, and Van Gogh.

When planning your visit to the magnificent Belvedere, you may choose among different ticket options, giving you access to various areas of the Belvedere Gallery:

  • 3 Combo Ticket: valid for Upper Belvedere, Lower Belvedere, Orangery, Privy Garden, Palace Stables and House 21 (21er Haus)
  • Belvedere Ticket: valid for Upper Belvedere and Lower Belvedere
  • Upper Belvedere Ticket: valid for Upper Belvedere
  • Lower Belvedere Ticket: valid for Lower Belveder, Orangey, Palace Stables and Privy Garden
  • 21er Haus: valid for House 21

Enter the Upper Belvedere, now hosting the Austrian art from the Middle Ages to the present day, including the world's best collection of Gustav Klimt. Appreciate the grandeur of its Marble Hall and Sala Terrena, vaulted ceiling of which is supported by four powerful atlantes.

Head to the Lower Belvedere to admire Prince Eugene’s magnificent living quarters and staterooms, including the Hall of Grotesques, Marble Gallery and Golden Room, offering a fascinating insight into Baroque interior design.

See for yourself the the whimsical fusion of architecture and nature in the grand Orangery of Prince Eugene. Then, get lost in the huge Privy Garden and the Palace Stables before ending your visit going to the 21er Haus (House 21), which, since its opening in 2011, exhibits the post-war period artworks and offers an array of thematic exhibitions.
