About this activity
Visit: Belvedere Museum, Vienna

Your Gustav Klimt sightseeing package includes the following features. Your vouchers will be delivered to your Vienna hotel so you can begin your independent exploration of the city as soon as you want to see Klimt's work and learn more about the artist, who was a founding member of the Vienna Secession movement and left an indelible mark on the world of art.
Belvedere Palace:
Explore the fabulous Gustav Klimt collection at Belvedere Palace, which houses the country’s most significant collection of Austrian art from around 1900. The palace is home to the world's largest collection of paintings by Klimt (approx. 30 pieces), including two of his best-known works, The Kiss and Judith I.
Leopold Museum:
The Leopold Museum, with around 6,000 works, houses one of the world’s most important collections of Austrian art from the second half of the nineteenth century and Modernism. As a couple, Rudolf and Elisabeth Leopold created this unique collection over the course of five decades. Their extraordinary passion for art enabled them to collect artists like Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt – who, up to the 1960s, were considered taboo.
Outstanding examples from the Leopold Collection include On Lake Attersee (1900), in which Klimt reached the limits of abstraction, and The Great Poplar II (Rising Thunderstorm) (1902/03), which emerged over the course of his annual summer sojourns in the Salzkammergut. With the artwork Death and Life, painted by Klimt in 1910/1911 and revised in 1915/1916, the Leopold Museum is in possession of one of Klimt’s greatest allegorical pieces, in which, by means of daring composition, he was able to illustrate the cycle of human life.
72-hour Vienna Card:
Your included Vienna Card is valid for 72 hours and offers free use of public transport and more than 210 discounts at museums, shops and restaurants. Every card comes with a free Vienna guide with helpful information about each attraction; the card will be available upon check-in at your hotel.
