About this activity

Your private guide will greet you at Vienna’s Heiligenstadt underground station and outfit you with an electric mountain bike and helmet. You’ll learn how to operate your bike — you can use the motor, pedal yourself, or do a combination of both — before hopping on and embarking on your 2-hour ride. As this is a private tour, you can customize the route and itinerary to your preferences, and your guide will change the pace and difficulty if needed according to your level of fitness.

Make your way to the Danube canal and into the Vienna Woods. These forested highlands, known as the Wienerwald, form the northeastern foothills of the Northern Limestone Alps. Ride through the woods and vineyards up to Kahlenberg mountain for sweeping views over Vienna. You'll stop periodically to refuel with your provided water and fruit, learn about the area and ask your guide any questions you have.

A highlight of this tour is a visit to a traditional Viennese wine tavern, where you’ll relax for an hour. Soak up the tavern’s rustic charm and enjoy complimentary refreshments in the heart of the vineyards.

Your guide will then take you back to the Heiligenstadt station, an easy place to get to your next destination via subway.
