10-Day Tour of the Baltics

DAY 1 VILNIUS Arrival to Vilnius. Transfer to the hotel. Welcome dinner & beer degustation.
DAY 2 VILNIUS – TRAKAI – VILNIUS Morning city tour of charming Vilnius Old town and surroundings. Cathedral and it’s square, St. John’s Bell Tower, Pilies street, Gothic corner ( St Ann’s Church), former Town Hall square, miraculous Gates of Dawn, bohemian Uzupis district, baroque St. Peter and Paul church. Driver to the capital of Grand Duchy of Lithuania – Trakai (25km). Visit castle, sail in beautiful Galve lake. Return to Vilnius.
DAY 3 VILNIUS – VILKIJA – PANEMUNE CASTLE -ZYPLIAI – KLAIPEDA First stop at Vilkija town, which marks the start of one of the most picturesque roads of the country – Panemune Castle road. Antanas & Jonas Juskos ethnographic museum. Renaissance era Panemune Castle. Lunch at restaurant "Kuchmistrai", where you will have noble lunch. Overnight in Klaipeda.
DAY 4 KLAIPEDA – CURONIAN SPIT – KLAIPEDA Ferry and travel to Curonian Spit – the pearl of Lithuania. Hill of witches ( Juodkrante).
In Nida you will see majestic continental sand dunes, unique wooden architecture, neo-gothic church and old ethnographic cemetery. Klaipeda Old town tour. Upon possibility visit amber shop and see how amber is being processed.
DAY 5 KLAIPEDA – HILL OF CROSSES – RUNDALE PALACE – RIGA Departure to Latvia’s capital Riga. En route stop to visit the holy site of Catholic Piligrimage – The Hill of Crosses. Next - Rundale Palace – one of the most outstanding monuments of Baroque and Rococo styles in the Baltics. Accommodation and free time.
DAY 6 RIGA Riga city tour: Dome Cathedral, St. Peter church, House of Blackheads, the Cat House, Old City Walls, Art Nouveau district. Latvian Black Balsam tasting! The dark and astringent liqueur made of 24 herbs remains unchanged for 250 years and is famous national brand name.
DAY 7 RIGA – TURAIDA – PARNU – TALLINN Departure to Estonia. En route stop at medieval Turaida Castle. Continue to Estonian resort Pärnu. Short tour. Afternoon arrival to Tallinn.
DAY 8 TALLINN City tour of Tallinn features the most outstanding sights including 14th-15th century Gothic Town Hall, St. Nicholas church, St. Catherine‘s passages, an old chemist’s shop; numerous authentic Hanseatic merchants’ houses. Dive underground and walk through the Bastion tunnels. Kalev Marzipan Museum Room. Free aftternoon.
DAY 9 TALLINN – LAAHEMA NATIONAL PARK – TALLINN Laahema National Park – the oldest national park in Estonia & former Soviet Union. Visit Palmse and Sagadi manors, fishing village Altja and captains’ village Kāsmu.Return to Tallinn for overnight.
DAY 10 TALLINN Transfer to Tallinn‘s airport. Departure.
