4 days Lithuanian Winter Adventure Tour
Day 1. Arrival and transfer to your hotel
This is a day to get accustomed and relax. Optional transfer from Vilnius airport to your hotel. Overnight in Vilnius.
Day 2. Hello, my name is Vilnius - meet and taste it
In the morning we will guide you through the main sights of Vilnius Oldtown and give you a background on our history and culture. Be admired by Baroque architecture and narrow cobbled streets and visit a bohemian Uzupis district also called the Monmartre of Vilnius.
Afternoon is free for your own time. Continue exploring Vilnius on your own or take our advice and try some local food and drinks – we have optional food tasting and beer tasting activities available. Overnight in Vilnius.
Day 3. Getaway to winter paradise
For this day we prepared a real winter adventure for you. In the morning pack your suitcases as you will not come back to Vilnius for the night.
On this day you will explore Trakai national historic park which is one of the must see’s during your visit in Lithuania. A short ride from Vilnius and you are in a tranquil nature. You will start your tour in the forests near Trakai and explore hilly landscapes with frozen lakes while approaching a fascinating medieval island castle of Trakai. We will make sure you will get a chance to walk on frozen lake if the weather allows. Enjoy warm tea during the tour and famous Karaim pie at the end to complete your Trakai impression. Please note this tour is a subject to change in case of bad weather conditions. If there’s a lack of snow/ice on the trails, you will have a regular hike or sightseeing tour as an alternative.
After the hike around Trakai you will be taken to another winter paradise – a countryside house with a fireplace and sauna just for you. Warm dinner will be waiting for you, you will have chance to try some homemade Lithuanian food. Relax in the sauna and enjoy your cozy evening near the fireplace. Evening is yours.
Please note, you will stay in the remote house with no quick access to local shops or restaurants. Dinner and next day’s breakfast will be provided. If you need anything else, buy it in advance in Vilnius or Trakai.
Day 4. Till we meet again, wonderful Lithuania!
Enjoy your homemade breakfast at the homestead. The transfer to Vilnius will be provided according to your scheduled departure.
