Roys is one of Wanaka’s most iconic peaks. Get that photo to make all your friends jealous!

Come and climb the peak everyone talks about – Roys Peak. An iconic hike up to 1578m above sea level provides an amazing 360 degree view of Lake Wanaka, Mt Aspiring National Park and the surrounding area. 16km return, approx 5-6 hours hike time, suitable for the enthusiast. 

Pickup from 7am, return approx 2-3pm. Weather dependent. Not available 1st October – 10th November, track closed for lambing. 2 person min, single supplement is available.

  • Your mandatory gear requirements will be confirmed prior to the tour and is dependent on weather conditions. You maybe excluded from the tour if you have insufficient gear. 
  • Your pickup location and time will be confirmed prior to the tour, free pickup/drop off in the Wanaka area.

  • Appropriate footwear with good tread. No jandals/thongs/flip flops.

  • A maximum of 6 people per booking
  • Minimum numbers apply (2). There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund. Single supplement fee available.
